http://fashionnews99.blogspot.com/2009/12/httpfashionnews99blogspotcomindian.htmlTraditional Bridal: For a matt look use Mac foundation in a color very close to the bride’s skin tone, then set with powder. Mac shimmer helps to illuminate the cheekbones while crating contours in the face.

For Eyes: Use metallic red in the inner corners, blending towards the outside of the eyes with a deep green for a smooth finish. A forest green has been used underneath the eyes to emphasize shape and color for this enchanting bridal look.

Lips: Create neutral lips by lining with a Mac tawny brown lip liner then filled with a creamy neutral lipstick. A dense lip-gloss over the top adds volume and sophistication.
Hair: To emphasize the eyes and makeup, simply part on the side and clip off the face – perfect fro the day or night. – AWI

India's biggest fashion trade event, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Spring/Summer 2009 is scheduled to be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from October 15 to October 19, 2008. A total of 87 designers will be participating in this mega event.
The new season will bring with it new color shades, designs, creations, clothing construction et al. Once again, the best of India's Fashion Industry will come together on a common platform. All the designers are geared up with new zeal to put forward their best show, all prepared to enthrall the audience with their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. They are all ready to impress the fashionistas and consumers not only from within the country but from overseas as well.
In its 12th year, WLIFW aims at providing a platform for new talents to showcase their potential. Since over a decade, WIFW has acted as a medium for the fashion designers in India to display their virtue and earn for themselves a name that people would reckon with.

The first of two Indian fashion weeks has kicked off in Mumbai after a spat between organisers of the rival shows threatened to overshadow the emergence of a new wave of designers.

Mumbai's inaugural Lakme Fashion Week is challenging the larger, established India Fashion Week in New Delhi, run by the Fashion Design Council of India.

The newcomer has been given a boost by the glamour of Bollywood stars tipped to attend and the appearance at a pre-show party of British model Elizabeth Hurley.

Thirty designers will show their ready-to-wear autumn-winter lines at the five-day event taking place just before the New Delhi event.

Chennai, which is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu, is soon to become a hub of Indian and international fashion. Chennai International fashion week (CIFW) has been formed with an objective to give Indian designers an international arena to showcase and market their collections to world media and global fashion professionals.

The show which will open on December 14 will prove to be a platform to bring in international flavor to the Indian fashion industry. It is likely to witness the participation of around 30 designers, 10 international designers, 40 fashions shows, 60 Indian and international models, world media professionals, Indian and international celebrities as well as buyers from across the globe.

Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Producer of CIFW and CEO of Storm Fashion, while speaking exclusively with fibre2fashion.com and when asked to elaborate about the show, he replied, “This is possibly for the first time that a fashion show is getting organized with a truly international perspective, which will help to bring in a pool of international creative excellence to the Indian fashion market.”

Four days after the Mumbai event ends, 80 designers will display their creations at the seventh and biggest India Fashion Week.

Lakme was associated with the New Delhi show until it pulled out following last year's event after a row over sponsorship money.

Instead it teamed with sports, leisure and lifestyle management company IMG to launch the rival Mumbai event.

The controversy comes as the nascent Indian designer-wear industry is growing rapidly with clientele including the British Prime Minister's wife, Cherie Blair, pop star Madonna and British actress Dame Judi Dench.
